Hi!

I am Sven Spöde, a German/Swiss national currently studying in the Master’s program Cognitive Science in Osnabrück, Germany.

My main interests can be subsumed under the common topic “interaction”. I am interested in how humans interact with each other and how they interact with their environment. Other topics related to this are new technologies, especially new forms of human-computer interaction, social media tools, Chinese internet companies and other. I am also kind of a news junkie, reading tons of news each month. I am really interested in different kinds of thinking, and therefore an eager student of all kinds of philosophy and old texts from various cultural backgrounds. I strongly belief by reading and reflecting about different ways of thinking and world views to be more able to understand other people and one is able to do “better” science, acknowledging different ways of thinking, other than the own.

Another interest of mine is East Asia, especially Yunnan, but also related topics like Burma, China & Japan. I will post interesting news and articles about these topics on Twitter and Google+.
